Games that respect your time (and the ones that don't)

I've started judging mobile games by a single question: does it treat my attention as mine? The best ones do, and you feel it immediately.

Instant saves are the big one. If I can close a game mid-action and come back to exactly where I was, I'll forgive a lot of other flaws. Coin Strike and Last Rampart both nail this.

The opposite is the game that interrupts a good session with a reward you didn't ask for, or a timer designed to pull you back later. Those tricks work on some people, but they make me close the app for good.

You don't need expensive production to respect players. You need fast loading, a skippable tutorial, and no guilt-trips. Those three things separate the games I keep from the ones I delete.
